All Smiles

Not much is going on here. It's been a busy week, I have a stamp class this weekend which I have been busily preparing for, with Logan's help of course.

Monsoon season is in full swing. The past week-10 days every afternoon we get thunder storms then rain. It's nice, it cools everything off but the humidity that sticks around is not helping my hair or Logan's (which are both curly enough without the humidity). Look how curly it's been lately. It's so cute!

Since it's been so cool in the mornings from all the rain, we've been going for walks in the morning after breakfast. We walk up to the park and around it and there's been dozens of birds looking for breakfast and enjoying the wet grass. Logan loves to look at the birdies, as he calls them. Next time we go, I'll try to remember the camera and try to get some pictures of the birds.

Reading

Here is Logan sitting and reading yesterday afternoon. He also got all his books out and lined them up on the floor in the living room.

La La Hatching Eggs?

After we finish a carton of eggs, I give the egg carton to Logan to play with in his play kitchen. He left it on the floor in our kitchen and apparently looked like a good place for La La (formerly named Cinderella-check out her bio to the right) to lay. She stayed there for about an hour or so until Logan chased her away. Have a good day.

Aquarium visit

We went to the aquarium yesterday. We stopped at the butterfly pavilion at the botanical gardens. Logan had a good time. At the aquaruim they had a shark display where you could touch a shark scull and jaw-complete with teeth. They also had a fin from a shark that you could touch. Definatly not what I thought it would feel like. It kind of felt like a peach, not rubbery and smooth like I thought it would be.

What's Happening here??

Not much. We've gone to the park a couple time this week and we have plans for the zoo on Saturday. It hasn't been as hot here lately as it has in the past so we've been able to play outside. We even got some rain last night-wow.

I spent Monday starting another blog. I started a stamping blog for my customers and fellow demonstrators. It's been really fun. It means I get to stamp something new everyday to post. If you want to check it out the website is

Here is a picture of Logan that I took yesterday. He was helping me put away my stamps and we stopped to take a picture.

Early Birthday

Dan's parents, Don and Sue, were here visiting us this week and we took Logan to Toys R Us to pick a toy for his birthday from his grandparents. The first thing Logan picked was a blue ball, then he picked a Mickey Mouse coloring book that came with crayons. Then he got to pick some blocks. He had a bunch of choices, he chose the tow truck with mega blocks inside. We have a mega block fire truck already that it tows very nicely around the house. He also got a hooked on phonics set of books that comes with a cd and flashcards. I haven't had a chance to really look at it yet but it looks cool.

On the way home we saw a rainbow, and then it turned into a double rainbow. It lasted a really long time. The bottom rainbow was a full rainbow, you could see the entire arch and it ended at the foothills of the mountains. I don't think I've ever seen a full rainbow, they always just disapper into the clouds. I couldn't get a picture of the full rainbow but I got a few of the double rainbow. They're actually not bad pictures considering that they were taken through the windshield, while driving between windshield wiper swipes. It was a fun night and Logan likes his toys-especially his ball. It's the first thing he asked for this morning when he woke up.
